Leah Appel

Leah has over 20 years experience in the pharmaceutical industry, with extensive experience developing drug delivery technology and products.  She has applied her expertise over the entire range of drug product development, both tailoring novel delivery technologies for clinical applications and reducing delivery technologies to practice.  She is  an inventor on 25 drug delivery patents and patent applications.  Her primary area of expertise are in oral solid dosage forms including controlled release and delivery of insoluble compounds.

Leah obtained her B.S. in Chemical Engineering from UCLA in 1982, and her Ph.D. in Pharmaceutics from the University of Utah in 1988.  Prior to founding Green Ridge Consulting in 2007, she worked for 10 years at Bend Research, Inc., as the Director of Controlled Release, and for 7 years at INTERx (a division of Merck) developing controlled release technologies.

Josh Shockey

Josh has extensive experience in pharmaceutical process development, with a focus on novel process development.  He was the lead engineer for a commercially developed microsphere product.  He has a strong process and equipment background, particularly in the areas of extrusions, fluid bed coating, and spray congeal.  Josh obtained his B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Montana State University in 1999, and is registered as a PE in Oregon.  Prior to founding Green Ridge Consulting in 2007, he worked for 8 years at Bend Research, Inc. developing and transferring drug delivery technology processes.

Danni Supplee

Danni has extensive experience in immediate and controlled release formulation development for oral solid dosage forms.  She has a strong background in formulation, materials assessment, analytical chemistry, and project management.  Danni obtained her B.S. in Chemistry from University of Delaware in 1993.  Prior to joining Green Ridge Consulting in 2007, she worked for 9 years at Bend Research, Inc. developing oral solid dosage forms, and for 5 years at FMC as an analytical chemist testing agricultural chemicals.
